Modus Operandi
What is our mode of operation?
Short Answer: Teach Security, Teach Christ; Teach Security in Jesus Christ. In other words, Teach and Reach.
Long Answer: In order to accomplish our mission, we will be holding monthly meetings. In each meeting, the presenter will teach information security skills (professional and ephemeral things) and then draw a parallel to the application of the concept covered in his/her talk to Jesus Christ and the Scripture (personal and eternal things). Finally as a group, we will discuss as to how we can apply the things we have learned to both our professional and personal lives.
For example, when teaching about the security concept of “Elevation of Privilege” and its consequences, we will also draw the parallel to the first sin of pride that was found in God’s creature, Lucifer (aka. the devil) as to how he intended to elevate himself above God (Ezekiel 28) and the consequences of his actions. Then we will discuss as to how “pride” plays a part in our professional and personal lives.
You would not want to miss a single meeting, if you are interested in gaining information security knowledge and improve your skills or learning about Jesus Christ and his teachings from the Bible or both; whatever your interests are.
We hope to see you in our next meeting.
