Abstract:
IoT (Internet of Things) is the new hotness. But what are we doing to think about the security implications and how to get ahead of the trend of “MOAR FEATURES”? What are some history lessons we can learn from the distant past and the not-so-distant past? In the section of the talk, we’ll discuss some ways to help us discern when it is best to step back and start securing IoT instead of adopting tech for the sake of MOAR TECH!
But discernment and security apply to our lives in other ways outside of technology. How are we discerning the proper influences on us and moving beyond MOAR STUFF? How can we be secure in our knowledge of Christ and His saving grace that goes beyond MOAR WORKS? In this section of the talk, we’ll get into how things influence us for bad and good, and how we need to look Christ and the Word for a proper guide. And let’s have fun doing it!
