Ask anyone who has written code, if they have written ‘error-free’ code and you will most likely find them either treating your question as rhetoric or smiling at you. You must have heard of the saying, “To Err is Human” and all of the insecure software and systems we build are testaments to that fact.
In the “Teach Security” part of this talk, we will focus on the first part of the title “To Err is Human” and look at errors, their types, their sources, how they are handled, and how they ought to be handled from a cybersecurity perspective. In the “Teach Christ” part of this talk, we will look at the grave error man, made and what its consequences are, even to this day. In the “Teach Security in Christ” part of this talk, we will focus on the second part of the title, which is “The Fix” i.e., Jesus Christ on the Cross, who addresses the problem of human error since creation.
